Job Description Static Engineer / Workshop Engineer
Commercial Catering Equipment | Canterbury | Monday to Friday
Looking for a hands-on engineering role without the constant travel, call-outs or weekend work? If you're an experienced White Goods Engineer, Workshop Engineer or Appliance Repair Engineer looking to expand your skills, this is an excellent opportunity to move into the commercial catering industry with full training provided.
You'll join a respected and growing business specialising in the refurbishment of premium commercial combi ovens. Based in a modern workshop in Canterbury, you'll become part of a friendly, close-knit team where quality workmanship is valued and every day is different.
The Role
As a Workshop Engineer, you'll be responsible for bringing commercial combi ovens back to life before they're supplied to customers across the UK. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
- Stripping down, refurbishing and rebuilding commercial ovens
- Testing equipment and carrying out final quality inspections
- Preparing incoming machines for refurbishment
- Updating service records and job information
- Managing parts and components throughout the refurbishment process
- Working closely with the workshop and office teams to ensure projects stay on schedule
The role is primarily workshop-based with Monday to Friday working hours. Once fully trained, there may be the occasional site visit, but this is minimal.
Full Training Provided
No commercial catering experience? No problem. If you have strong fault-finding skills and experience repairing white goods, appliances or similar equipment, full manufacturer and in-house training will be provided to help you become an expert in commercial combi ovens.
We're Looking For
- Experience as a White Goods Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Appliance Repair Engineer or similar
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- A methodical approach with good attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Experience working on commercial catering equipment or combi ovens is beneficial but not essential.
