We are working with the Heating & Plumbing trade association for Scotland & Northern Ireland, who represent over 750 members. The purpose of the association is to support its members & work with the government, to promote industry standards & Apprenticeships, whilst delivering training in Gas Heating & Plumbing through to Renewables for all.
A role exists for a Gas Trainer & Technical Advisor to join the team, hybrid based, splitting your time between our Edinburgh training facility & home, on a full-time permanent basis. As a Gas Trainer & Technical Advisor you will play a central role in shaping the technical and training support we provide to members. You will identify, design and deliver training courses based within our Training Academy, whilst additionally offering guidance on technical and certification matters. Your Experience
- Essential
- Experienced with a solid technical expertise in plumbing and heating systems.
- Recognised qualifications in Gas, Plumbing or Heating (C&G, NVQ, etc) - ideally assessor qualified.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience delivering training, mentoring or technical presentations.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines, and a high attention to detail.
- Recognised assessor or verifier qualification.
- Experience in inspection, compliance, or certification roles.
- Knowledge of industry standards, building regulations and certification schemes.
- Experience working within a member-based or trade association environment.
Hours & Benefits
- 34.5 hours a week Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, with Friday 9am to 4.30pm
- Hybrid Working: 3 days in office and 2 days at home, once induction training has been completed.
- 34 days holiday (24 days + 10 days public holiday)
- 11.25% Pension (Employee 3.75%, Employer 7.5%)
- Life cover 3x Salary
- Salary negotiable on experience
