About the Role
Due to continued growth within our Pumping Stations division, we are looking to recruit a Technical Design Engineer to join our team based in Woore. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD skills and a solid understanding of engineering principles who is looking to develop their career within a specialist engineering environment. Working closely with internal teams and site engineers, you will be responsible for producing technical drawings, interpreting specifications and providing technical support throughout the design process. Full product training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates with a mechanical or engineering background who are looking to further develop their technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings and design documentation
- Interpret customer specifications and technical requirements
- Provide technical support to site engineers and internal departments
- Respond to technical design queries and offer practical solutions
- Assist with the development and improvement of product designs
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant specifications and standards
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production and project teams
- Maintain accurate design records and documentation

- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of mechanical and engineering principles
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Experience within a design engineering or technical drawing environment
- Knowledge of pumping stations, water infrastructure or related industries
- Understanding of local water authority specifications
- Familiarity with Design & Construction Guidance (DCG)
