The Role:
Our client is a leading global organisation and they are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a growing IT team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a large-scale infrastructure environment. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the performance, security, and reliability of business-critical network services.
Working across networking, telecommunications, security, and server infrastructure, you'll be involved in both project delivery and BAU support, helping to ensure a resilient and high-performing technology environment.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments
- Managing network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and associated infrastructure
- Supporting and optimising VoIP and unified communications systems
- Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement
- Troubleshooting complex connectivity and infrastructure issues
- Managing server connectivity and supporting core IT services
- Assisting with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
- Working with third-party suppliers and technology partners
- Maintaining accurate network documentation and technical records
- Contributing to network security initiatives, audits, and compliance activities
- Supporting infrastructure upgrades and technology improvement projects
The Person:
- Previous experience in a Network Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer position
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and enterprise networking technologies
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting VoIP solutions
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
- Experience working with routing, switching, and wireless technologies
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting server and infrastructure environments
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
