Mechanical Engineer

We are recruiting for a motivated and mechanically proficient individual to join an external site team, working alongside an Electrical Engineer in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of pumping equipment across the UK. This role involves nationwide travel with occasional overnight stays (expenses covered)., * Work collaboratively with an Electrical Engineer, sharing a van, to complete installations and servicing of pumps and related equipment

• Attend nationwide site visits, responding to breakdowns and ensuring all work meets the company’s standards

• Service, repair, and assemble pumping equipment

• Flexibility for overnight stays (1-2 nights per week), as required by the project

• Provide standby cover on a rota basis during weekends and bank holidays

• Maintain van stock and ensure the necessary tools are available for all tasks

• Complete and submit detailed site reports, obtaining customer signatures for completed work

• Act as a professional ambassador for the company, promoting products and services where appropriate

• Mechanical qualification (Essential)

• Valid CSCS card (Essential)

• CSTS (confined space) training, SSSTS (Desirable)

• Experience in a similar role, ideally in maintenance or with pumps (Desirable)

• Physically fit, with the ability to work flexibly and manage workloads independently, * Mechanical: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• CSCS (preferred)

• CSTS (preferred)

• SSSTS (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sheffield

• Typically working 45-50 hours per week, with flexibility required for travel and overnight stays

• Nationwide site-based role

• Overtime premiums available, * Starting from £12.90 per hour (depending on experience and skills)

• With overtime premiums, fully trained individuals can expect to earn £45K+ per annum
