Job description, work day and responsibilities
Are you an experiencedHGV Mechaniclooking for a new and exciting opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our dynamic team and help maintain and service our fleet of vehicles. If you have a passion for vehicles and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for their annual MOTs
- Handle breakdowns and on-site repairs, ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain accurate service and repair records
- Carry out 6-weekly safety inspections to maximise vehicle availability and efficiency
- Take part in general workshop duties, ensuring the workspace is well-maintained and organised
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, working with a range of heavy goods vehicles
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
