We are looking for a Business Administration Trainee to join our clients growing Peterborough team. This is an exciting opportunity for a school or college leaver wanting to start your career in business administration. You will be joining a friendly, vibrant and supportive team where you’ll receive full training to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed. This varied role will give you valuable experience in customer service and general office administration, while building a strong foundation for your future career. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues who will guide and support you as you learn. Their clients range from large corporations to small family businesses, covering sectors such as manufacturing, services, financial services, charities and more. This means you will gain exposure to many different areas of business, giving you a broad insight for the first stage of your career. THE INDIVIDUAL

No previous experience is required — full training will be provided. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your ability to work as part of a team, and your commitment to providing excellent service to our clients and colleagues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Administration Team, you will support all departments across the firm, including audit and accounts, business support services, tax, payroll, marketing and company secretarial. You will learn to:
- Understand how our systems and databases work, and use them to retrieve and update client information
- Use our secure portal system to send correspondence
- Scan, save and organise client documents within our document management system
- Prepare simple reports from the practice management system
- Assist with the preparation of client fees
- Support with arranging travel and accommodation for staff
You will support with:
- Onboarding new clients (under guidance from colleagues)
- Scanning and binding accounts for distribution
- Answering telephone calls professionally and confidently
- Welcoming clients, visitors and suppliers to the office
- Helping to keep office facilities running smoothly (including arranging repairs when required)
Other responsibilities include:
- Learning and following the firm’s policies and procedures
- Completing timesheets accurately on a daily basis
- Taking on other duties appropriate to the role as required
- Becoming familiar with the firm’s risk management and compliance procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least five GCSEs grade 4-9 with a grade 5 or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
- You’ll also need to have competent knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Three C grade and above A levels are also desirable but not essential.
- You must have the right to live and work permanently in the UK. We are unable to provide sponsorship for overseas workers.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Ability to deliver accurate work to deadlines and under pressure with good time management skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering a first class service to clients, and the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and communications skills, both written and verbally.
- Good time management skills including prioritising.

SALARY / BENEFITS

- Salary range between £15,600 and £19,500 depending upon experience. Salary is reviewed annually
