Startin Group, a well-established, growing family-owned automotive business, is looking for an experiencedFinance Director to join our executive team.
Are you a commercially minded finance leader ready to shape the future of a growing, multi-site motor group?
We pride ourselves on our strong values, long-standing relationships, and high-performing culture. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on FD who can modernise our finance function and drive data-led decision-making across the Group.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully CIMA qualified accountant
- 5+ years\’ experience at senior leadership level
- Proven success leading financial transformation and automation projects
- Highly skilled in data modelling, BI tools, and performance dashboards
- Experience in the motor trade or automotive industry
- Experience within a multi-franchise, multi-brand environment is desirable
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own the Group’s full P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow forecasting
- Lead our digital transformation of finance systems, automation, and cross-departmental integration
- Develop and drive financial models, ROI analysis, and strategic budgeting
- Deliver monthly management accounts across sites with full Group consolidation
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team (circa 15 team members)
- Design and implement finance SOPs, ensuring audit-readiness and consistency
- Produce high-quality board packs and Group KPIs for the MD and shareholders
- Manage key relationships with banks, auditors, and tax advisors
- Oversee asset finance, funding, and VAT compliance processes
- Collaborate with operational leaders to enhance margin control and working capital
- Systems-savvy—Keyloop, FP Solutions, advanced Excel, and reporting tools
- A collaborative leader with a strong commercial mindset and the confidence to challenge and support operations
