We’re partnering with a highly respected and rapidly growing FMCG business to recruit a Plant Manager for their flagship manufacturing site in Manchester. This is a pivotal leadership role offering real influence and responsibility across manufacturing, logistics, and technical operations.
The Role
As Plant Manager, you will be directly responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective running of the Manchester plant. You\'ll lead Manufacturing, Logistics, and Technical Operations — ensuring that production is delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.
You’ll be a key member of the Manchester Operating Team, working closely with the Manufacturing Director and the EU/Africa Regional President. You will also act as the local liaison for customers, suppliers, government officials, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead plant operations and drive continuous improvement across production, quality, and logistics.
* Collaborate with functional leaders and the Support Centre to address strategic business challenges.
* Implement and lead the site’s Continuous Improvement Program.
* Ensure all customer and compliance audits are completed professionally and issues addressed proactively.
* Oversee and guide planners on logistics, stock management, inventory, scheduling, and distribution.
