Ready to take charge of major retail accounts and make a real impact? We\’re looking for a Business Sector Controller to join our dynamic team in Irlam, Manchester. This is a permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid flexibility (3 days in the office).

Why this role?

You’ll be at the forefront of driving growth with leading retailers, shaping joint business plans, and delivering innovation across Own Label and Branded products. From negotiating commercial deals to spotting new opportunities, this role puts you in the driver’s seat of high‑profile accounts.

Your journey starts with leading the Co‑op team (including Nisa), and as you grow, you’ll take on responsibility for household names like Asda, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, or Lidl.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning commercial strategy and delivering results that hit budget targets.
  • Managing key retailer and discounter accounts across Wine, Spirits & RTDs.
  • Negotiating pricing, driving profitability, and ensuring flawless forecasting.
  • Building strong relationships with buyers, supply chain, marketing, and store teams.
  • Spotting market trends and turning insights into new opportunities.
  • Coaching and mentoring account executives to help them thrive.
  • Expanding the customer base and strengthening our sales division.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven FMCG account management or leadership experience.
  • Strong retail sales background, ideally in the BWS industry.
  • Manufacturing sector experience.
  • Sharp negotiation and financial skills.
  • Degree/diploma in Business, Economics, or similar (preferred).
  • WSET or wine education a bonus, but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
