Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer Location: North East– UK Travel Required Salary: £33,000 per annum Company Van | Overtime | No Weekend Work Start People are recruiting for an experienced Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer to join a growing team. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary, company van, overtime and no weekend work. The role is North West based but will involve travelling to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays. What's on Offer * £33,000 basic salary * Company van * Overtime available * No weekend work * 22 days holiday + birthday off * £25 overnight subsistence allowance * Hotels and evening meals paid for * Company uniform and PPE The Role As a Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer, you will carry out water hygiene, treatment, testing and remedial works at customer sites across the UK. Typical work will include closed system testing, sampling, analysis and dosing, tank inspections, water storage tank cleaning and chlorination, temperature monitoring, calorifier pasteurisation, TMV testing and servicing, shower head descaling and disinfection, spa balance tank cleaning, building disinfection and chlorine dioxide dosing equipment installation and servicing. You will also be responsible for pre-commission cleaning and flushing, completing accurate service reports and working in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG 274. About You * Minimum 6 years' experience within water hygiene or water treatment * Full clean UK driving licence * Experience with closed systems and water hygiene * Understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 * Experience working independently on customer sites * Strong communication and organisational skills * Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail * Ability to complete accurate reports and documentation * Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and stay away occasionally * Willingness to undertake overtime when required Desirable Experience Experience with water softener installation, servicing and fault finding would be advantageous, particularly Clack, Fleck or Autotrol units. Experience with RO plant and chlorine dioxide dosing systems would also be beneficial.
