Covering two sites, our client are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental functions within a busy manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with industry standards, promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and maintain the highest quality standards across all operations.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Management
- Develop, maintain and improve the business Integrated Management System to underpin Quality and operating standards
- Monitor, audit and report on Quality performance and provide assurance to senior management team
- Maintain quality, safety and environmental systems; implement and audit to achieve compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Maintain certification to ISO 9001 standards
- Provide leadership to support the management of the business and compliance with Quality standards through audit and review of operating practice and systems
- Ensure appropriate resources are provided to support a compliant business and to identify any systemic weaknesses
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Maintain and develop ISO45001 and ISO14001 certification and support external audits
- Maintain and develop HSE policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements
- Report and analyze relevant KPIs, through ownership of relevant registers (Accident / Near Miss log) and delivery of incident investigation (A3) and RCCA.
- Continuous Improvement of key HSE controls, such as Risk/COSHH assessments and SSOWs
- Coordinate regular reviews supporting company-wide HSE Management, performance monitoring, open investigations, audit actions and continuous improvement
- Manage internal Health and Safety and 5s audit schedule including the ownership of the associated CI plan (Safety CI Register)
- Deliver toolbox talks and identify/communicate further (external) training requirement
- Skills / Experience
- Essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing environment
- Experience in Quality, HSE, Manufacturing Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Excellent report writing, technical authorship and communication skills
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations (e.g. A3, 8D, DMAIC)
- Continuous Improvement (CI/Lean/Six Sigma) experience
- Skills & Competencies

- Manufacturing / Engineering bias apprenticeship or employment-based training/qualification
- HNC or equivalent (Manufacturing / Production / Engineering subject)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Desirable
- NEBOSH General Certificate or H&S qualification
- Auditor certification (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001)
- This role is full time on-site
- Mon – Thu 7:15am – 16:30pm Friday 7:15am – 12:15pm (or 7:30 start and 16:45 finish)
- 30.5 days holiday including bank holidays
