Our client, a leading Manufacturing business are currently recruiting for a Planning and Logistics Manager. As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the Planning & Logistics Manager will play a pivotal role within the business providing both short term operational planning and longer-term forward forecasting leading a team of Planners and Logistics operatives, along with the Customer Services team.
Role duties
- Demand & Supply Planning: Responsible for the management of all stock within the business combined with meeting the customer target and providing the most cost-effective and accurate plan to the factory.
- Customer Service: Support the team to manage incoming forecast/orders, activities related to complaints, system pricing etc.
- Warehousing and Distribution: Work with WH Manager to ensure a smooth logistics operation between site and 3rd party logistics providers including H&S adherence.
- Support and Guidance to all SC teams ensuring KPI’s are monitored/met and driving CI, developing self‐managed and motivated teams with the capacity to drive their own performance standards.
- Develop and drive best practices across Supply Chain and the business.
- To present at the monthly meetings to review forecasts and ensure capacity requirements are met.
Skills and experience required
- Experience in an FMCG Environment
- Graduate qualified
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and PowerBi.
- Previous experience & understanding of planning systems – MPS, RCCP & MRPII.
- Customer focused and results driven.
- Previous experience of an ERP system (Oracle, SAP etc).
