We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service Generator Engineer to join a well-established and growing power generation business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for strong earning potential, excellent benefits, and long-term career development.

The Role

As a Field Service Generator Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of diesel generators ranging up to 1250 KVA across a variety of commercial and industrial customer sites. You will work on both Stage 3 and Stage 5 equipment, carrying out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair diesel generators up to 1250 KVA
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Diagnose and repair Stage 3 and Stage 5 engines
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately
  • Maintain high health & safety standards at all times
  • Provide professional customer support on-site

Requirements

  • Previous experience working on diesel generators
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience working with generators up to 1250 KVA
  • Knowledge of Stage 3 and Stage 5 engines preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
