This is a rare opportunity to inherit a large and well-established portfolio of existing clients while building your pipeline for long-term growth. This role offers a hybrid focus — blending account management and retention in the first year, then transitioning to a strategic new business development role. What You’ll Be Doing: Manage and nurture a significant base of existing accounts Identify growth opportunities and maximise revenue through upselling and cross-selling Build strong, consultative relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention Transition into a more proactive, new business development role Identify and target new UK-based customers with domestic freight needs Build a sustainable pipeline and close profitable contracts Key Responsibilities: Develop tailored solutions for clients in the UK road freight sector Act as the point of contact for key clients – ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing support Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure service delivery excellence Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities About You: Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in transport, logistics, or road freight Strong experience in account management and business development Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, structured, and target-driven Full UK driving licence – this is a field-based role with regular client visits What’s in it for You? £50,000 base salary (circa, depending on experience) Car allowance + bonus structure Significant portfolio of warm accounts to get started Supportive, ambitious environment with real career growth opportunities Next Steps: This is a unique opportunity to join a stable, well-regarded logistics brand with ambitious plans for UK growth.
