- SALESFORCE ADMINISTRATION & SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
- Act as the system owner and technical lead for Start Network's Salesforce platform, ensuring it supports the needs of a global, network-based organisation.
- Design and maintain Salesforce access and security controls, balancing strong data protection with practical access for teams working across regions and functions.
- Implement and uphold data governance and data quality standards within Salesforce, working closely with the Data Manager to align with wider organisational frameworks.
- Design and deliver scalable automation (e. g., flows, validation rules, custom objects) to reduce manual effort and support efficient, consistent ways of working.
- Design, manage and optimise integrations between Salesforce and other organisational systems (e. g., Form Assembly, reporting and automation tools), ensuring reliable data flows and joined-up processes.
- Translate organisational and programme processes into clear, scalable system solutions that work for staff and partners across the network.
- Own and maintain the Salesforce data model, ensuring it reflects how Start Network operates today while remaining flexible for future growth and change.
- MICROSOFT 365 OVERSIGHT
- Provide oversight of Microsoft 365 administration, licensing and configuration, ensuring tools are well-aligned to organisational needs, strong security standards, and responsible use of resources.
- Define and maintain access and security principles for Microsoft 365, working collaboratively with operational teams and external providers (e. g., Twin Systems) to ensure consistent and proportionate controls.
- Provide guidance on the effective use and optimisation of Microsoft 365 tools (e. g., Teams, Share Point, One Drive), supporting clear organisational ways of working and collaboration across regions and teams.
- SYSTEM OWNERSHIP & ARCHITECTURE
- Own the organisation's digital systems landscape, with Salesforce as the primary platform.
- Ensure alignment and integration across systems (e. g., Form Assembly, Power BI, M365, etc.).
- Define and maintain system architecture and data flows.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools in alignment with organisational needs and existing systems.
- USER SUPPORT & CAPACITY BUILDING
- Provide escalation-level support and technical guidance for complex system issues
- Oversee resolution of complex technical issues, working with internal and external stakeholders
- Support capability building through guidance and training on system usage and best practices
- Partner with teams to identify capability gaps and improve system usage.
- REPORTING & DASHBOARDS
- Define and lead the technical enablement of reporting across Salesforce and connected platforms
- Support programme, membership, and assurance teams with data extraction and visualisation needs.
- Support donor reporting requirements, including standardised data outputs and IATI
- Ensure data structures support effective reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the organisation.
- PROJECT DELIVERY & ENHANCEMENTS
- Lead the design and delivery of Salesforce and system enhancements
- Liaise with external developers/consultants when specialist configurations are required.
- Ensure system changes are documented and aligned with data governance standards.
- Provide technical direction for system improvements and ensure alignment with overall architecture.
- DATA GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE
- Uphold data protection standards, including GDPR compliance.
- Ensure systems operate in line with Start Network's values and commitments on data responsibility.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews with accurate system documentation and reporting.
- Define and uphold data governance frameworks across systems, ensuring consistency, integrity, and compliance within Salesforce context.

Experience & Requirements
- Proven strong experience as a Salesforce Administrator or specialist, with responsibility for configuring and maintaining a complex Salesforce environment
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce platforms relevant to Start Network's context (e. g., Nonprofit Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce or equivalent automation/AI features).
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automation, custom configurations and integrations that support scalable, efficient ways of working.
- Ability to translate organisational and programme needs into effective system and data solutions, using sound judgement and analytical skills.
DESIRABLE
- Experience working in NGOs, membership organisations, or humanitarian contexts.
- Familiarity with grant management or partner due diligence systems.
- Experience with API integrations and third-party apps (e. g., Form Assembly, Mailchimp).
- Project management experience (e. g., Agile, Scrum).
