Field Assistant

Starship Technologies is revolutionizing deliveries with autonomous robots. These robots are designed to deliver food, groceries, and packages across college campuses and neighborhoods in minutes. Starship has now completed millions of autonomous deliveries to date, traveled millions of miles, and is currently doing more than 140k road crossings each day. As a Field Assistant, you will join our Operations team and play an essential part in our mission to provide the world with affordable and environment-friendly deliveries. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots. This is a hybrid role that will involve cleaning and re-deploying robots at our partner’s locations in and around Leeds, as well as supporting operational and maintenance activities in the Leeds hub. The role will also contain learning technical aspects of the robot and carrying out maintenance work.

Salary: 13£/hour

Contract: 6-month contract position

Options: full-time contract and part-time weekend contract. Working day hours vary between 11am to 8pm.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of the robots at each of our partner locations, in line with Food Hygiene Standards.
• Deploying and picking up robots to and from our commercial partner’s sites in Leeds and surrounding areas.
• Supporting and maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots.
• Updating tracking spreadsheets and dashboard used in day-to-day operations.
• Carrying out routine maintenance tasks and audit checklists at stores.
• Maintaining hub-based warehouse tasks and regular inventories.

Requirements

• UK\’s Driver’s license for manual transmission and experience driving, preferably a van.
• Fluency in English and eligibility to work in UK.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• A passion for robots and innovative technologies and a willingness to learn about our operations.
• Good self-discipline & time management.
