Can either come in for specific coaching sessions a couple of times a week or also work the whole day supporting other sessions and then lead football session.
Summary
This summer we will be a Brent HAF provider and funded by Sainsburys. Therefore we are expanding our team. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and energetic Teaching Assistants to join our Summer Sports SEND Club. You'll support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to take part in fun, inclusive sports, games and enrichment activities during the school holidays.
Working as part of a supportive team, you'll help create a safe, positive and engaging environment where every child can build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being active. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone passionate about working with children and making a difference.
We are looking for individuals who have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND in schools
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs in schools
- A positive, patient and caring attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to support and adapt to children with a range of needs
- Confidence assisting with sports, trips, games and other activities
- The ability to remain calm, flexible and proactive in a busy environment.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications
- Teaching Assistant or coaching qualification, or equivalent.
- Experience in education, childcare, sports coaching or youth work.
- First Aid qualification (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS check on update service
- Safeguarding trained
