Starrycare is seeking a friendly and reliable Catering & Hospitality Assistant to support catering services across our client sites. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, serving meals and refreshments, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and delivering excellent customer service while complying with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages.
- Set up and clear dining areas, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, dining areas, and food preparation areas.
- Replenish food, beverages, and catering supplies as required.
- Follow food hygiene, infection control, health & safety, and COSHH procedures.
- Provide a courteous and professional service to service users, visitors, and staff.
- Report equipment faults, hazards, or stock shortages.
- Participate in training and continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and infection control practices.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
