Role Overview
Starrett UK & Europe is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Sales Support Executive to support and grow sales performance across a defined portfolio of key customer accounts. Based at our Nottingham office, this role will focus on managing customer relationships, supporting key accounts, developing new business opportunities, analysing data and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate will have existing sales experience in a B2B environment, and will be able to demonstrate strong sales administration and customer engagement skills along with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities. Experience in the Tool Industry, specifically Power Tool Accessories, would be highly advantageous. Occasional travel to UK customer sites will be required.
Sales & Business Development
- Support the delivery of sales targets across a defined portfolio of customer accounts
- Identify new sales opportunities with existing and prospective customers
- Proactively manage sales enquiries, quotations, and follow-ups
- Assist in the development of strategic sales plans for key accounts
- Support the sales pipeline and conversion of opportunities into orders
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, operations, and customer service
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing high levels of service and support
- Handle customer enquiries efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Support customer visits and meetings as required
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate customer and sales data within CRM systems
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Provide insight and recommendations to support sales growth
Skills & Experience – Essential
- Previous experience in a B2B sales or commercial position is essential
- Commercial awareness with a results-driven mindset
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively from an office-based environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience within the tools industry, manufacturing, engineering or technical product environment
- Experience working with Amazon would be highly beneficial
- Experience supporting key or national accounts
