Starr Insurance Companies is a leading insurance and investment organization, providing commercial property and casualty insurance, including travel and accident coverage, to almost every imaginable business and industry worldwide.

We are seeking a candidate to support the Underwriting and Operations divisions through various administrative responsibilities.

  1. Enter risk and policy data into the Underwriting system(s) within the defined Service Level Agreements.
  2. Perform peer-to-peer quality assurance checks within the defined Service Level Agreements.
  3. Communicate all risk and policy queries through appropriate channels and respond promptly.
  4. Process unmatched USMs within the defined Service Level Agreements and escalate issues as necessary.
  5. Complete all tasks related to month-end close.
  6. Support credit control activities, including managing aged debt and cash queries.
  7. Participate in team, departmental, and divisional meetings to foster internal relationships and deepen understanding of the business.
  8. Scan and store documentation in the designated document management folders.
  9. Ensure underwriting files are complete and accurate, obtaining missing items from the underwriting team.
  10. Assist with company projects and initiatives.
  11. Support training of new team members and act as a Subject Matter Expert when needed.
  12. Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
  13. Maintain business logs and renewal pipeline spreadsheets.
  14. Assist with peer reviews and ensure PBQA/CC is completed.
  15. Help collate information for binder/lineslip renewals.
  16. Support FL Portfolio analyst as required.
  17. Handle internal tasks involving communication with brokers and external third parties, such as managing aged debt and missing documentation.
  18. Assist with internal and external audits.
  19. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
  20. Report any suspicion of financial crime to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer immediately.
  21. Operate within the company\’s standards for Treating Customers Fairly.
  22. Manage potential conflicts of interest to uphold the company\’s integrity.
  23. Immediately advise Compliance of any complaints.
