- Act as one of the most senior referral points for our Regional Underwriting teams
- Hybrid role with 3 days a week working from home and 2 days based at one of our offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, Bristol, York, Glasgow or Belfast
About the role:
Join NFU Mutual as a pivotal member of our Regional Senior Technician Underwriting team, managing complex, high-value cases, and ensuring the delivery of technical activity. You’ll advise, train, and guide others to maintain technical knowledge and meet objectives, KPIs, and deliver exceptional customer service.
You’ll manage the administration and resolution of intricate cases, ensuring regulatory compliance and positive outcomes for members. You’ll also lead training and coaching to develop team members’ technical expertise and uphold our customer service standards.
Contribute to strategic planning and development of technical capabilities, fostering continuous improvement, and aligning with company policies. Monitor and report on technical activities, identify improvement opportunities, and drive efficiency and service enhancements.
Please note the internal job title for this role is Regional Senior Technician – Underwriting.
About you:
You’ll have a proven track record managing complex Commercial Underwriting cases and referrals, providing technical expertise in a regulatory environment. Experience in developing and coaching others or supporting peers to gain authority is essential.
You should also have:
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- High attention to detail with pragmatism and logical thinking
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Experience building and managing stakeholder relationships
- Report writing experience (desirable)
