We have an opportunity for a Cyber Insurance Researcher to join Tokio Marine Holdings (TMHD). You will report to the Global Head of Cyber Risk and support the development of the Group’s cyber underwriting strategy, risk appetite, limits, guidelines, innovation, and accumulation control for both affirmative and non-affirmative coverages.

The role includes responsibilities such as:

  1. Conducting research and developing new cyber scenarios and models, demonstrating the impact of cyber losses on our business and Group Companies.
  2. Analyzing portfolio data for trends and providing data points for analysis within the CCoE team.
  3. Back testing and stress testing existing cyber scenarios.
  4. Supporting the CCoE Cyber Actuary in identifying data sources and building relationships to improve scenario processes.
  5. Communicating our Cyber View of Risk to stakeholders and seeking improvements.
  6. Communicating model uncertainties while maintaining credibility.
  7. Collaborating on the development of cyber modeling, including academic research.
  8. Working independently and in teams to solve modeling challenges.
  9. Staying updated with developments in Cyber Security through research papers.
  10. Supporting the Market Intelligence team with content and design enhancements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance-related research, data analytics, and catastrophe models. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and either R or Python is essential, along with a good understanding of statistics and probability. We seek someone who enjoys working with innovative questions in a dynamic environment and has strong task management skills.
