About the job

Starr Luxury Cars is hiring one person to run my world, not just my diary. This is not a diary-management job dressed up with a fancy title. I run eight businesses and projects, spanning luxury transport, hospitality and nightlife, timepieces, and investment and finance. I need one person sharp enough to move between all of it without dropping a single thread.

Your job is to turn that into a tight, anticipatory operation where I show up prepared, every commitment is tracked, and the right people hear from me at the right moment, without me having to ask twice. If that sounds relentless, it is. It is also one of the most interesting seats in London, sitting across luxury mobility, hospitality, timepieces, and finance.

What you'll own:

  • My calendar, my inbox, my travel, and my time, across eight businesses and projects, ruthlessly prioritised.
  • Every commitment I make in a meeting, on a call, or in passing gets tracked, chased, and closed.
  • Draft and manage communications in my voice across my ventures, so partners and clients experience one sharp, consistent standard.
  • Filter what reaches me and what doesn't, protecting my time from noise without ever costing me an opportunity.
  • Run the small, high-stakes pieces of work that sit beside the big deals: research, briefing documents, coordination between my teams, and personal errands.
  • You will see and hear things about deals, people, and money that go nowhere else.

What great looks like in 6 months:

  • I walk into every meeting fully briefed, because you made sure of it.
  • Nothing gets missed across eight businesses and projects, because one person is holding the thread across all of them.
  • I spend my time on deals and relationships, not admin, because you took the admin off my plate entirely.
  • You're making judgement calls on my behalf that I'd have made the same way myself.

Who you are:

  • You’ve supported someone at the top before.
  • You anticipate, you don't wait.
  • You write like a professional.
  • You are unshakeably discreet.
  • You move across contexts fluidly.
  • You have extreme ownership.

Who you're not:

  • You want a role with fixed hours and a fixed job description.
  • You need detailed instructions for every task.
  • You think discretion is a nice-to-have rather than the actual job.
  • You're looking for a stepping stone role you'll leave in six months.

The deal:

  • Base: competitive, depending on experience and the breadth you can carry.
  • Access: a genuinely unusual seat, working directly with the founder.
  • Location: London, based near our Berkeley Square, Mayfair office, with flexibility once you've earned it.

How to apply, and how to stand out:

Do not send me a generic CV and a template cover letter. If you want this, show me you're the person I described above. Send an email to cars@starrluxurycars.com with the subject line "I'll hold the thread", and answer three things, short and specific, along with your CV:

  • The most demanding principal or founder you've supported, and one thing you did that they never had to ask for twice.
  • How you'd organise a week where you're supporting eight different businesses and projects, each with its own rhythm.
  • One thing you'd need from me on day one to do this job well.

If you can't answer those in a way that makes me lean forward, this isn't your role. If you can, you might be exactly who I've been waiting for.
