Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support financial analysis for Starr International across both core Finance activities and strategic initiatives;
  • Own the production of recurring MI reporting, including data extraction, validation and consolidation across business units, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness of outputs;
  • Coordinate with regional offices and business unit stakeholders to collate, standardise and analyse financial data, supporting variance analysis and performance tracking across Starr International;
  • Produce clear and structured outputs (e.g. reports, dashboards, and presentation materials) to support senior stakeholders, including first-draft commentary and key insights on financial performance;
  • To liaise with stakeholders across the business at all levels, as required.
Experience
  • 3 years + relevant experience;
  • Exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and functions, with ability to showcase analytical skills in a fast paced-environment;
  • First class skill set in data consumption and analysis, analytics and producing management information;
  • Strong understanding of the non-life Insurance market, including Lloyd’s and the London Market.

  • Ambitious self-starter with the confidence to define a new role, supporting a range of business objectives;
  • Capable of managing competing deadlines to execute several projects in parallel and deliver on timelines;
  • Ability to think strategically and provide insights and recommendations;
  • Advanced numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail;
  • Excellent collaboration skills, and confidence communicating with senior stakeholders;
  • Professional business writing and presentation skills.
Systems & IT
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills;
  • Power BI or similar data analytics software preferred;
  • Experience with Anaplan or other planning tools preferred;
  • Passion for data: analysing data, improving data, presenting data.
Qualifications
  • Degree educated or equivalent;
  • Fully qualified in an Accounting or other financial qualification.
