MARINE ADVISOR β CONTRACT β SURREY
Our Client, a global leader in engineering and constructing major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore, is currently looking for a Marine Advisor to join the team based in Surrey.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Master STCW II/2 (Unrestricted)
- Master Mariner profile.
- CoC with command experience preferred, or a lower CoC with appropriate degree
- Experience: 10 β 15 years as Senior officer on offshore vessel types with a background in operations and working of the vessels
- Technical skills: ability to command an offshore vessel
- IT skills: Office package
JOB SCOPE
As Marine Advisor you will be part of the Offshore Wind Business Line within the Installation Method department. You will interface with various projects and department like engineering, procurement, HSE, Quality and planning disciplines in the provision of maritimes advice.
Responsibilities:
- Writing scopes of work, documentation for vessels to use on projects marine operations
- Creating the specifications needed for the vessels used for the operations
- Reviewing technical bid evaluations and proposals
- Establishing procedures and method statements
- Being involved in marine assurance
- Input into the development of offshore engineering methods and project execution strategies relating to marine and vessel operations
- HAZIDS, HAZOPS and other formal risk assessment processes
RATE: Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.
DURATION: Start ASAP for approx. 2 years with possible extensions.
WORK PATTERN: Hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days working at home.
Based in offices in Surrey but candidates must have the flexibility to travel on site up to 40% of the time
