Role Overview
The Calibration Laboratory Technician should have a strong background in spectroscopy and analytical chemistry. Under the supervision of the Calibration Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and certification of our expanding range of CRMs, contributing to the accuracy and reliability of laboratory standards globally, operating within ISO17025/17034 accredited frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and certify Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) to meet international standards.
- Operate within ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 accredited frameworks.
- Apply spectroscopy techniques and analytical chemistry expertise in daily operations.
- Collaborate with the Calibration Laboratory Manager and team to meet goals.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy laboratory environment.
- Maintain accurate job cards and documentation, supports audit activities and is able to keep rigorous records.
- Clear communication skills across all levels.
- Support team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing work culture.
Candidate Profile
- BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Or a professional qualification in laboratory sciences.
- Experience or knowledge in spectroscopy and has a skill in calibration measurements, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Clear and precise communication skills, both written and verbal.
