I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor based in the West Midlands area, for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team to support the delivery of major construction schemes across the region.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Site Manager to join our central region, initially based in Cheltenham, to lead the operational requirements of the project with responsibility for safety, quality, environmental and programme delivery in line with company procedure and to client’s satisfaction. This is a full-time, permanent role.
- To attend meetings as required by the Project Manager.
- Organise and chair on-site progress/production meetings with the team and/or sub-contractors and suppliers as required.
- Be suitably knowledgeable and prepared to attend client progress meetings if the Project Manager is unavailable.
- To maintain a daily site activity log (daily diary) on Work Wallet, including photographs, to monitor and record progress for future use and reference.
- To review the construction programme and prepare short/medium term programmes to support delivery of construction targets and deadlines.
- To maintain good working relationships with the site team, client representatives, third parties and the public.
- Support the site commercial team in the delivery of project margin and management of effective cost control.
