I’m recruiting on behalf of my client, a Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, an experienced Senior Design Manager in the Manchester area.
Start date: Asap
Salary range: £85K - £90K + packages based on experience

About the project: Highrise Residential £120m project value
Required: High rise residential / Tier 1 main contractor experience
Duties:
- Reporting into the project team you will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project and provide help and guidance to design co-ordinators where appropriate.
- Manage design consultants and sub consultants along with design sub-contractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design related information for the execution of the works on site.
- Input into the selection of the design team.
- Input into the Employers Requirement/Contractor Proposal Compatibility.
- Manage and assist the Design Manager during the construction phase.
- Chair and minute Design meetings and ensure production of information in line with the design.
- Consider alternative building methods, sub-contractor and materials.
Experience:
- Understand the different Client procurement routes.
- Experience of working at pre-construction stage.
- Understanding of D&B contracts.
- Commercial awareness.
- Be able to use Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
- Be able to use Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects).
Qualifications:
- Degree in construction related discipline.
