As a Digital Brand Designer, you'll help shape and elevate our brand identity across our primary digital touch points, with a core focus on our web experience.
We’re looking for someone who balances an exceptional eye for design and visual storytelling with a deep understanding of digital platforms.
You won’t just be building UI components; you’ll be turning ideas into thoughtful, crafted digital experiences that capture the imagination and elevate the Starling brand.
You'll bring a high level of creativity to everything from major web campaigns to the small, delightful interactions that make a website sing.

Key Responsibilities
- Web Experience and Digital Craft
- Design high-quality, beautiful, and engaging web experiences that align with our wider goals and brand principles.
- Translate creative briefs and marketing campaigns into strong, clear digital executions that feel fresh and premium.
- Use user data, analytics, and customer feedback to drive the continuous, iterative improvement of our website.
- Prepare and hand over meticulously crafted design files to our development team, collaborating closely with them to ensure your creative vision is technically achievable and perfectly executed in production.
- Bring a high level of craft, consistency, and visual clarity to digital layouts, typography, imagery, and interactive elements.
- Collaboration and Team Contribution
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with writers, marketers, engineers, and product designers to create cohesive digital journeys.
- Present your design concepts clearly and confidently to peers and stakeholders, explaining the "why" behind your visual choices.

Qualifications
- Proven design experience within a digital brand, marketing, or creative studio environment.
- A portfolio that showcases original thinking, exceptional visual craft, and a strong eye for digital and web layout. (We want to see how you think, not just the final components!)
- High proficiency in Figma (for web layouts, prototyping, and developer handovers) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience using data, user feedback, or A/B testing insights to inform design decisions.
- Confidence in presenting your work, explaining your creative decisions, and collaborating with developers.
- Some knowledge of HTML/CSS (you don't need to code, but understanding how the web is built is a massive plus)
- Understanding of basic animation / motion skills for the web, e. g. Lottie or Rive.
