The Role
Machine Tool Fitter. You'll be working on new and refurbished machines, jigs and fixtures, supporting a wide range of industrial clients. Your duties will include:
- Overhauling, repairing and refurbishing machine tool components
- Building and working with jigs and fixtures (toolmaking)
- Installing new equipment and supporting ongoing project work
- Completing parts requisitions to maintain stock levels and minimise downtime
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and schematics
- Occasional flexibility to support work outside standard hours when required
What we're looking for:
- Apprenticeship-trained or time-served engineer (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in machine tool fitting/mechanical assembly
- Experience working with jigs and fixtures
- Confident reading technical drawings
- Organised, reliable and quality-focused
- Able to work safely, independently or as part of a team
- Electrical or mechanical qualifications advantageous but not essential
