The Role

  • Respond quickly and effectively to electrical breakdowns
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and minimise downtime
  • Log and report breakdowns, supporting root-cause analysis
  • Suggest and help implement corrective improvements
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Occasionally assist with training and mentoring apprentices
  • Work as part of a close-knit team, including overtime when required

  • A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong experience within industrial/manufacturing environments
  • Proven ability with:
  • Single & 3-phase wiring
  • Fault finding and repairs
  • Motors (Star/Delta, Induction)
  • Switchgear, transformers, regulators
  • Control panels and industrial electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems
  • 18th Edition qualification (or equivalent) highly desirable
