We are recruiting for an experienced Yard Supervisor to join our thriving branch in York! At Jewson, part of Stark UK, we believe that our greatest asset is our people! This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7.00am – 4.30pm and every other Saturday 8am – 12pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
  • Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
  • Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
  • Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!)
  • Work as a direct support to the management team and act as a keyholder when needed
  • Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
  • Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
