Stark, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a Strategy Analyst who is as passionate about great service as we are. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives, the Strategy Analyst will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, improving operational efficiency, and contributing to Stark Building Materials UK’s long-term success.
- You will be required to support the development of strategic plans and business cases for new initiatives, site expansions, or product category opportunities.
- Analyse business performance data (sales, margin, stock, customer behaviours) to evaluate success and identify commercial or operational opportunities.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc performance and strategy reports for the Executive Team.
- Deliver clear, concise presentations that communicate complex insights and recommendations effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Category, Finance) to gather insights and ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
- Support workshops, strategy reviews and cross-functional planning sessions.
What you’ll need to have:
- Experience in a strategy, business analysis, or commercial insight role is preferred.
- Experience within the construction, building materials, or wholesale/trade sector strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable success in shaping strategy and influencing business decisions through insight.
- Ideally degree-level education in Business, Maths, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and keen to challenge the status quo.
- Commercially astute with strong problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication skills – able to simplify analysis into actionable insights.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
