We are looking for someone to join us within our HR team for a period of 12 weeks to carry out a project. The purpose of the role is to provide short-term, expert leadership of Employee Relations governance and escalation, stabilising ER delivery with the third-party provider and producing clear recommendations for a future ER service model. The role exists to deliver rapid insight, risk reduction and decision-ready outputs within a 12-week period.
Key areas of achievement:
- Stabilise and standardise the handling of escalated ER cases.
- Improve governance, capability and insight in the relationship with the third-party ER provider.
- Provide evidence-based options and a clear recommendation for future ER service delivery.
- Leave behind sustainable processes, tools and learning.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Significant experience managing Employee Relations in-house.
- Proven experience managing a third-party ER supplier across at least two organisations.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ER risk management.
- Experience using multiple ER case management systems.
- Background in an HR Business Partner role with deep ER expertise.
Desirable
- Experience leading large-scale ER programmes (TUPE, redundancy, acquisitions).
- Experience in HR transformation or service redesign projects.
- Strong data, insight and influencing capability at senior levels.
