We have an exciting opportunity for a

Legal Assistant to join us on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is the assist the Legal team with day-to-day contract administration, checking of documents, supporting project work and to help to drive consistency and standardisation across Stark UK in relation to Legal paperwork and approach.

To assist the compliance team with legal compliance training, education, communications and automation.

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Law Degree plus you will ideally possess with the LPC or SQE qualification
  • Previous administrative experience within a commercial, IP, corporate or commercial property legal environment ideally
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Accurate English grammar within all written documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage own workload, prioritise, meet deadlines and remain focussed
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders internal and external
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must have a flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Must possess a high degree of common sense, tact, discretion and diplomacy
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (inc. Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and Adobe products
  • KEY RESULT AREAS
  • Provide day-to-day support to General Counsel and Legal Counsels
  • Legal Research
  • Completing pro forma legal templates
  • Help to streamline administrative processes and workflows for Legal and drive efficiencies from automating core processes and completing template agreements
  • Preparation of contract summaries
  • Reviewing simple legal agreements such as NDA’s
  • Proof reading documents
  • Adobe sign administration
  • KYC administration
  • Document formatting and finalisation including schedule collation
  • Maintaining the legal team shared folders
  • Legal department administration
  • Assisting in obtaining signatures for contracts
  • Assisting with Companies House filings
  • Liaising with external lawyers
  • Assisting with IP portfolio management
  • Answering customer and supplier queries and complaints
  • Assisting legal compliance team
