We’re searching for an ERP Transformation Programme Director to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will lead the planning, governance, coordination and phased deployment of a major transformation programme spanning multiple brands, business units and operational sites across STARK UK.

The role is accountable for delivering large-scale ERP deployment activity across multiple business units and brands, ensuring strong programme governance, operational continuity, stakeholder alignment and successful business adoption throughout the transformation lifecycle.

Operating directly with Executive stakeholders, Steering Committees and senior operational leaders, the Programme Director will shape critical transformation decisions across the organisation while providing strategic leadership across a complex matrix environment. This role will coordinate internal teams, third-party partners and business stakeholders to deliver a controlled and commercially effective transformation programme.

This position requires an experienced transformation leader with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale ERP programmes, operating confidently at Executive and Steering Committee level, and managing multiple concurrent workstreams across technology, operations and business change. Success in this role will require balancing technology delivery with business adoption, operational continuity and stakeholder alignment across a diverse operational landscape.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Essential
    • Significant experience leading large scale ERP transformation programmes within complex enterprise environments
    • Proven track record delivering multi workstream ERP deployments across multiple business units, brands or operational sites
    • Experience operating at Programme Director or Senior Programme Manager level within enterprise transformation initiatives
    • Strong experience managing ERP vendors and third-party delivery partners
    • Demonstrated ability to lead complex matrix teams across business and technology functions
    • Strong governance, risk management and executive reporting capability
    • Experience managing programme budgets, commercial oversight and delivery assurance
    • Strong understanding of programme delivery disciplines including: RAID management, dependency management, cutover planning, deployment governance, testing coordination, business readiness, hypercare and post live support
    • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively whilst maintaining programme momentum
    • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex delivery issues for executive audiences
    • Experience operating within fast paced transformation environments with competing priorities and resource constraints
  • Desirable
    • Experience within distribution, merchanting, retail, logistics, manufacturing or supply chain environments
    • Experience delivering ERP consolidation or migration programmes
    • Experience working within private equity or highly commercial delivery environments

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the ERP transformation programme across agreed phases and deployments
  • Establish and maintain robust programme governance, reporting and executive visibility
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams including technology, business process, data, testing, deployment, change and operational readiness
  • Ensure effective management of programme risks, dependencies, commercial impacts and resource constraints
  • Drive alignment across Executive stakeholders, operational leadership teams, technology teams and external partners
  • Ensure successful deployment planning, cutover execution and operational stabilisation following go-live activities
  • Protect operational continuity throughout programme delivery and minimise disruption to business operations
  • Hold vendors, partners and delivery teams accountable for agreed deliverables, timelines and quality standards
  • Support the achievement of targeted business outcomes, operational improvements and strategic transformation objectives
  • Ensure appropriate programme controls, financial oversight and governance standards are maintained throughout delivery
