Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) is a brand within Stark UK which specialises in providing solutions for our customers in the Public Sector predominately Housing Associations and Local Authorities and maintenance contractors. Due to the impending retirement of the current Branch Manager, an opportunity has arisen at one of our stores in the West Midlands, where we operate in partnership with a local housing association.

Location - Bournville, West Midlands

Hours – Mon to Fri – 7.30am to 4.30pm

Please note all applicants must hold a valid Full UK Driving License.

We are looking to recruit a Branch Manager to initially work alongside the current Branch Manager before taking on full responsibility for the store. The role will involve managing a small team, with a focus on stock management, product availability, monitoring van spares, arranging deliveries and, most importantly, delivering an excellent service to our client and their tradesmen. A good knowledge of building materials is preferred. This could come from a background in roofing, plumbing, builders’ merchants, trade merchants or a DIY outlet.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role is crucial to the performance of this contract, as such we are looking for someone with managerial experience, good communication skills and commercial awareness, a good understanding of building products, who promotes an inclusive culture for both colleagues and customers, whilst being able to empower the team to provide great customer service.

Experience / Skills:

  • Ideally a background in Building Merchants / DIY or related
  • Great customer service skills
  • Experience of management and working within a small team
  • Build effective relationships with Suppliers
  • Able to lead a team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
