Jewson are looking for an experienced Tool Hire Supervisor to join the successful, supportive team at their branch in Reading.
As part of the role, you will be required to drive a 3.5 tonne van with trailer to deliver and collect customer orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Working Hours: This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 07:00am-16:30pm, with the requirement of working every other Saturday from 08:00am-12:00pm.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resource to ensure efficient, effective and safe operations.
- Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro‑active cross selling.
- Deliver and collect customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring orders are accurate and all equipment is secured and loaded/offloaded safely in accordance with company procedures.
- Support branch colleagues in building knowledge and competence in tool hire product.
- Conduct pre-delivery checks to ensure tools and machinery are clean, safe, and fully operational. Complete all relevant delivery paperwork and record keeping.
- Inspect, test, and carry out basic repairs on a range of tools and small plant (e. g., breakers, saws, mixers, access equipment).
- Develop strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro‑active cross selling.
