We are currently looking for a Mill Machinist to join the highly successful team at our Trafalgar Rd, IOW branch.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Our Timber Mill Machinists are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time.
  • Good grasp of Health & Safety requirements in an Operational environment.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to machinery or mechanical handling equipment to be used.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to working in a timber processing plant and timber storage and distribution site.
  • Ability to carry out routine inspections.
  • Ability to understand, complete and maintain all documentation associated and required by the role.
  • Ability to work as a team player within the timber processing plant and overall site operation.
  • Operating a variety of woodworking machinery such as; band resaw, planer/thicknesser, five-headed moulder, spindle moulder, profile grinder, crosscut.
  • Working across various tasks in the mill including quality control, stacking of machine timber and housekeeping.
  • Adherence to EHS standards by ensuring; work area is kept tidy, work area is cleaned daily, machinery is rigorously maintained.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 730am to 4:00pm
