We are currently recruiting for a Yard Sales Adviser to join the team at our site in Derry. We provide a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment with ample opportunities for career growth, along with a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance, and 33 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).

Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 16:00 Friday and every other Saturday morning 08:00-12:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serving customers face to face, providing the highest possible service and care.
  • Preparing orders for collection & delivery and ensuring sales documentation is completed.
  • Maintaining stock levels.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift truck (training provided).
  • Make sure all goods inwards are checked and put away in the correct location.
  • Be responsible for personal and workplace health and safety and observe regulations in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act. (PPE provided)
  • Any other duties as may be deemed necessary to ensure business objectives are met.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a similar role and environment.
  • Experience in a customer facing role, customer advice.
  • Experience operating a Fork Lift Truck is desirable.
  • Understanding of timber and general building products.
  • Methodical, with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • Experience driving 3.5t vans and FLTs would be extremely beneficial to the role.
