Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a Small Tool Fitter/ Driver who is as passionate about great service as we are. The Small Tool Fitter/ Driver role involves the repair, servicing and inspecting of a wide range of tool hire equipment, including diesel, petrol, electrical and lifting. There will be some driving to cover holidays which will include delivering and collecting to and from our Jewson branches. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety and service within the area workshop. In-house training can be provided on our equipment depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Workshop
  • Repair, service and maintain tool hire equipment
  • Carry out safety inspection and faults diagnostics
  • Complete maintenance records accurately
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
  • Work to a high standard
  • Working as part of a small team
  • Driving
    • Complete vehicle checks and ensuring compliance
    • Delivering and collecting tool hire equipment to Jewson Branches
    • Complete relevant documentation accurately
    • Loading and securing all equipment

    Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm

    What you’ll need to have:

    • Previous experience in an engineering role, mechanical, electrical or both
    • Fault find and able to work independently
    • Good communications skills
    • Professional, organisational and reliable
    • Drivers licence
    • PAT experience, but not essential
