Overview
Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a candidate who is passionate about great service. Location: Jewson, Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK41 9RT
Hours: 7:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8:00 – 12:00
Responsibilities
- Managing the Tool Hire department in branch
- Supervising a small team to ensure strong relationships with customers
- Collaborate with the wider network to support customer requirements and business activities
- Understand the local market to support plans for sales growth
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of tool hire equipment in the workshop
- Prioritise Health & Safety and demonstrate how to keep yourself and others safe at work
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Required Skills and Experience
- Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work
- Strong communication skills
- Experience dealing with internal and external customers
- Leadership experience would be beneficial
- Full clean UK driving licence (manual transmission)
