Overview

Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a candidate who is passionate about great service. Location: Jewson, Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK41 9RT

Hours: 7:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8:00 – 12:00

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Tool Hire department in branch
  • Supervising a small team to ensure strong relationships with customers
  • Collaborate with the wider network to support customer requirements and business activities
  • Understand the local market to support plans for sales growth
  • Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of tool hire equipment in the workshop
  • Prioritise Health & Safety and demonstrate how to keep yourself and others safe at work
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience dealing with internal and external customers
  • Leadership experience would be beneficial
  • Full clean UK driving licence (manual transmission)
