Stark Building Materials is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Yard Operative to join our Supply Chain Solutions site in Hull, who is as passionate about great service as we are!

Rotating Shifts
Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm, Fri 6am-1pm
Mon-Thurs 1:30pm-9:30pm, Fri 12pm-6.30pm
Location: STARK Supply Chain Solutions, Timber Terminal, King George Dock, Yorkshire, HU9 5QE
Key Responsibilities
This role will see you predominantly handling timber in our busy supply chain goods-in yard – unloading using counterbalance and sideloader forklifts to ensure accurate and efficient site operation.
- Unload delivery vehicles and vessels using MHE, including counterbalance forklifts and sideloader forklifts and move to correct location in yard
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products, ensuring all documentation is completed
- Maintain general housekeeping of the yard and warehouse areas
- Work as part of an organised team, contributing to the overall efficiency of the site operations
- Perform regular stock checks and stock rotations
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

Required Skills And Experience
- Previous MHE experience – counterbalance forklift is essential, sideloader would be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors
- A strong health and safety focus
