What you’ll be doing

  • Be the first point of contact for trade customers, providing expert support and advice on products, orders, and services via phone, email and in-store to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Process orders, resolve issues efficiently, and work closely with the sales and warehouse teams to meet customer needs.
  • Have a good understanding of trade products (e.g., building supplies, plumbing, electrical) and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Get to know our product lines and services to maximise customer interactions in line with our values.
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers (face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and offering proactive advice and solutions.
  • Deal with lapsed accounts, generate sales with new and existing customers, and use in-house systems to process orders, organise deliveries and keep customers updated.
  • Maintain stock levels and carry out regular stock counts; keep the branch clean and presentable to create a great first impression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement.
