Overview
Jewson Supply Partnerships (JPS) is a brand within Stark UK which specialises in providing solutions for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities. We have an opportunity for a Partnership Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of managed stores contracts with Housing Associations and Local Authorities covering the West Midlands region and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for a portfolio of Public Sector contracts within the West Midlands, including large contracts in Cannock, Dudley, Birmingham, Walsall and Staffordshire, supporting the contracts and the delivery of profitable growth through the JPS strategy to ensure that all customers have a great experience.
The role involves working with all functions including the Jewson branch network and predominantly the JPS stores network in the West Midlands to develop and leverage the scale of the business, and identify opportunities to realign capabilities and behaviours to meet customer and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of Public Sector contracts within the West Midlands region, supporting delivery of profitable growth.
- Collaborate with the Jewson branch network and JPS stores to develop scale and opportunities to realign capabilities and behaviours to meet customer and business needs.
- Maintain strong relationships across customer organisations from operative to Director levels and across internal functions.
- Support contract delivery with excellent customer experience, through strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Build sustainable processes across a multi-site business and turn analysis into profitable results.
- Demonstrate problem-solving with a customer-first ethos and utilise CRM systems where applicable.
Qualifications
- Experience in the Public Sector market is preferred, with understanding of its influencing factors.
- Proven experience in large, customer-facing roles with the ability to build relationships from operative to Director levels.
- Ability to work across functions with a collaborative delivery approach.
- Excellent written and spoken communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proven track record of retention, sales and margin growth, with ability to turn analysis into profit.
- Results-oriented with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and proficient with Excel.
- Experience building sustainable processes across multi-site businesses.
- Understanding of CRM systems is an advantage.
