Jewson specialise in providing building materials to the Construction Trade.

We\’re on the hunt for a Trade Counter Sales Advisor to join the team in our current branch.

We provide a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment with ample opportunities for career growth, along with a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance, and 34 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).

Working Hours: 730am–5pm Monday to Friday and every second Saturday 8am to 12noon

Location: 257 Glasgow Road, Rutherglen, Glasgow G73 1SG

Key Responsibilities

This is a busy and varied role working with a great team.

You\’ll cover trade counter sales duties, processing orders and arranging deliveries.

You\’ll interact with customers and suppliers on a daily basis and ensure that the best service is always demonstrated to them.

  • Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions
  • Process customer orders at the trade counter and sales office, arrange deliveries and update customers on their orders
  • Help to prepare customer orders in our warehouse in a timely manner
  • Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products and carry out regular stock counts
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
  • Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and your team safe at work
