Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) specialise in providing supply solutions and building materials for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities.
We\'re on the hunt for a Customer Assistant/Delivery Driver to join the team in our new branch in Swindon, who\'s as passionate about great service as we are!

  • Please note - a valid UK driving license (no more than 6 points) is a requirement of this role
Working Hours: 40hrs per week - 7.30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday (no weekends!)

Key Responsibilities
This is a multi-skilled role covering all areas of our branch, from customer service, warehouse and delivery driving, giving you opportunity to learn and develop within the team.
  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our JPS values
  • Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, manage stock control and keep customers updated throughout their journey
  • Pick and prepare customer orders in our warehouse, load and unload customer and delivery vehicles
  • Deliver and unload orders to our customers sites, using a 3.5t van in and around the Swindon area
  • Keep the branch and yard/warehouse looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
  • Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts and rotations
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
Required Skills And Experience
  • Valid UK manual driving license (no more than 6 points) is a requirement of this role
  • Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a customer facing environment
  • IT literate and a strong communicator
  • Passion for working with people with a positive can-do attitude
