We are looking for a detail‑oriented and commercially focused Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team and support the Jewson Financial Controller and Finance Director. In this pivotal role, you will analyse financial data, deliver meaningful insights, and contribute to informed decision‑making that drives profitability, strengthens performance, and gain excellent exposure to the full Jewson accounts process, while partnering with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide insight into brand performance, identifying trends, variances, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Develop financial models and analytical tools to enhance reporting, planning, and performance tracking.
- Support the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting at both regional and brand level.
- Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales, margin, and cost data across the brand and product categories.
- Support pricing and margin analysis on key supplier lines and products.
- Assist with inventory and stock control analysis to optimise working capital and reduce waste.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, or similar finance role—ideally within construction supply, retail, or distribution.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline or currently studying towards/qualified in ACCA, CIMA, ACA.
- Strong analytical ability and a commercial mindset.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with non‑finance stakeholders across the business.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
