Overview
FRAZER is a leading building materials distributor within Civils and Utilities in Northern Europe, and is looking for an Operations Manager who is passionate about great service to manage Warehouse and Transport for our Cardiff branch opening December 2025. Based in the Cardiff area. Hours – 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a small team of warehouse staff and drivers, ensuring all team members are prepared and ready for their day
- Run the transport operations for the branch - load planning and delivery routes
- Support Branch Manager with operations: driver and warehouse staff health and safety compliance
- Directly support warehouse team with preparing and loading/unloading orders when necessary (forklift training provided)
- Provide an excellent level of service for all customers
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts and producing reports on stock management for branch
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Required Skills And Experience
- Previous industry experience is beneficial ideally Civils or Utilities
- Experience within warehouse and transport management with teams of up to 5
- Confident in a hands-on, sometimes physical role
- Flexible with a positive can-do attitude
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practice
- Basic working knowledge of environmental legislation
- Experience within the supply chain/merchanting industry is desirable
- Knowledge and experience scheduling methods and work processes
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good general level of education together with PC literacy and basic financial awareness
